SR-9 barrel peening problem

After handled SR-9 several time in the store, I was very itch to get one, couldn't stop thinking, but on the other hand some of the reviews from Ruger forum was really bugger me, has anybody experienced barrel peenig problem with their gun yet? I knew the SR-9 selling here is the lastest production.

There are many more report at the forums over the year but I really like this gun.

With Rugers I generally only buy what I can handle... with the exception of my latest revovler (because supply is so limited).

I say go to a store, look at it, if it looks good... buy it.
