SR @ Connaught Aug 7 - 8...

Heh heh - I agree with just coming down - don't worry about taking a clinic before - you'll pick it up as we go -

Sniper1 - looking forward to seeing your 858 - we met at an earlier meet (I'm the guy with the M96)

I hope some more Montrealers/Quebecers will be joining us at the upcoming CQB meet at Borden (I'll be there)!

Cheers boys & a big thanks to TimK & Hungry for setting this up (as usual!)

If you want to shoot, you might want to contact Tim and sign up. I believe we are just about full... and walk-in might not get a spot.

If you don't have his email address, let me know.

Mike
(Should be a fun one :ar15:)

I don't know Tim (yet), but I'll PM you my email address, to pass along to him, if you wouldn't mind.

We'll see if there's space available, and if I can get my gear back in one location in time!

Gents:

I'm back home from my road trip. Wow... 3 M14 clinics in 7 days. It's great to be home. I'm doing target prep tomorrow morning. Expecting lots and lots of shooters. Timk is your go-to person. I can PM you his email addy if you need information.

This match, I'm the butts officer and I'm not coordinating the match fees/ entries/ rations and quarters arrangements. Timk is your man. Don't PM me for any plans or arrangements since I'm not looking after that department.

Cheers,
Barney

Wow, I have just completed unpacking my Rav4 and what a show.... 10 and 11 targets used! Great times had by all. Great work by my butts people (competitors)! Did not have to lose my cool on anyone, not even that good shooter over on target 2 who tried to steal one of my ORA collector grade hard hats. ;)

I want to thank all the competitors who put up with my yelling and screaming at all of you down in the butts! Not a single protest (target irregularity) that I heard of! Big thanks!

Cheers,
Barney

First of all, a big thanks to Tim and Hungry for putting this event together. It was my first SR match and I had a blast. Need to thank ton45-II for organising the montreal crew, giving me a ride up and making sure I had everything I needed to participate in the event. Big thanks to Sniper1 for mags. And a Huge thanks to Ron for lending me his AR15 on the second day, thats quite a shooter my man! Looking forward to the next one.

I`ll post some pics tonight

Thanks guys, what a great shoot! This was the first time I did a military-style shoot since the early 1990s, and man have I ever gotten old since (apparently!)

I've got a whole new list of drills and positions to practice, (kneeling was soooo much more painful than the "agony", that I'm still stiff today!)

I've also resolved to get some magnification on the AR - Tim and circumstance made it possible for me to beg out of Sunday's shoot in favour of another available shooter, which suited me because at 400 yards, I wouldn't be able to hit anything with my 1x Bushnell!

I'll be keeping a close eye out for future matches and clinics - this is a great way to spend a day, and a great, friendly bunch to spend it with!

Thanks

Adam

Great weekend! Many thanks to Tim and Hungry for making it happen. Scores should be up soon enough and we should have pics of the matches too.

Glad to see the Quebec Contingent as strong as always. :D :ar15:

The picture has been altered to protect the identity of the participants. I you want to be removed from the picture in this post, please PM as soon as possible so I can cut you out of the picture.

A few guys are missing on this group shot. I sure there will be more civvies in this pic next year from Ontario and Quebec.
