I bought the last SR1911 at Pro-Line Shooters on Monday.
Transfer was complete today. StATT was emailed to me while I was on the phone.

Is that how it works everywhere? That took way longer than my first hand gun!
What can we do to speed this process up?

I hope this is in jest or we will come over and kick your ass!!! ;)

I am hoping the OP was making a funny... I laughed either way.

Yup, 4 days is actually a little long by AB standards. I have had restricted transfers take as little as an hour, ATTs emailed in <15 minutes....

But of course it is obvious that our CFO's office is being negligent in how quick restricted transfers are handed out, just look at the crazy amount of gun crime in our rural areas!

Being sarcastic in the last sentence of course.

Yeah, it used to be that way in BC, too.

Hopefully, Alberta will stay the way it is for restricted transfers and not get all ####ed up like BC and Ontario has become. :(

That is all.

I hope you didn't take offence to my original Post.

It wasn't meant to offend , but rather to educate everyone about the burden bureaucracy places on Albertans. Today, I phoned to change the date on my statt. She took 10 MINUTES!!!! I was almost done my Timmies Coffee before she emailed my STATT!!!

What can we do to speed this UP!!!

Hey NZClaybuster, I bought the same pistola from Proline last fall. They had quite a few 1911's and CZ's behind the glass today.

I find it takes 2-3 days typically for a restricted transfer here.
