'finally completed my setup. original handguard, grip, & stock replaced. also highlighted markings, ruger logo, etc. 'love the way it looks now, pretty solid all the way thru.

here's how she looks now:

'took to the range to see how winchester high velocity would perform... no misfires; 2 out of 25 would misfeed on a butler plastic lip mag. zero problems so far on the original ruger 10-round mag. 'will try again next weekend...

I really like the Ruger on the side. And about the only time I would say this to another guy, I like your butt. I want to try one of those.

What is the total cost it put you down with? Sure looks nice.

Did you try your back up sights? I just noticed your front is lower than the back.

current setup for iron sights are useless. the front is too low. sights will work on the sr-22 add-on top rail though... same level.

how do you get the handguard off? I tried to pull the ring down, but it won't move. Is it screwed on?

handguard is screwed on. very tough to unscrew(loctite). at first, i managed to unscrew the handguard off; not realizing that the base of the handguard assembly was still attached to the receiver. difficult for me but managed in the end.

We only have a few SR-22 acces. left (guns are currently sold out). Short top rail...$45, Troy long rail covers (3 pack)... $59, QD bipod adapter for bottom rail... $39, M-4 six position stock collapsible stock ... (these just came in and are available to anyone now as I was previously keeping one for every gun sold)...$125, slip over rubber butt pad for M-4 stock...$18. More guns and acces. are expected in the next couple of weeks and we are taking back orders. Our last shipment was able to supply all of our old back orders so I expect most people will get guns on this order. Phil.

I had the same question as I will be swapping out mine. I decided to see what I could find on you tube and there is a Midaway vieo of a guy installing/removing the free float tube with a rubber "strap wrench". I would imagine a few days soaked in solvent and or wd-40 on the threads and a strap wrench it should come off easier??

How was the stock to remove? I have the tool comign along with a collapsable stock. The one I say at P&D seemed to have the stock nut staked on a little.

Oh and GREAT looking SR-22!!

the castle nut was rather tight; no traces of loctite or anything though. my armorer's tool did the job.

very nice to see the iron sights aligned on the same level toebako.

I was looking at getting one of these little puppies...wondering where and how much for a 11" barrel? want to make something right at 26.5 " nice little package.

Dlask had heavy 12" barrels. I wanted the lighter one but they had none. So I am getting the bull. My quick guzintas gave me 27 or so " with the stock fully shortened.
