I just finished completely disassembling and thoroughly cleaning my SR22 and am now ready to reassemble. I've heard some assemble them dry while others use silicone spray. Should I lube or not?

I just did a full tear down to upgrade my trigger. After 5000 rounds she was filthy but still firing everything i fed it. I chose to lube her up and clean her more often. Time will tell if that was a good decision or not....

Eezox, great rust inhibitor and dries nicely. No messy oils anywhere and your gun is protected both from rust and wear.

Rimfire ammo is filthy, and it will bake into a hard carbon crust which is difficult to get off if you shoot dry, or if you use a traditional lube then it'll just bake on even harder. A synthetic lube like BreakFree CLP doesn't cook off. I keep the action wet. You wouldn't believe how easy is it to clean up afterwards - a simple wipe with a cloth. Before I used to have to soak in solvents, then use a toothbrush to get at the baked layers. Now, instantly wiped clean. Amazing stuff.
