SR22 Love

I would put my 597VTR that cost me $420 with the Volquartsen parts against an SR-22 any day. And it came with a Magpul CTR, Magpul pistol grip, and 4 30rd mags, and a bipod for that lol. No optics though, just have a Trophy 4-12x-40 on it for a round $500 total. Just can bring myself to spend more on a rimfire. Now my Tikka Tactical I just got is going to be a money pit lol, still nowhere near $3500 though... Nice build, at least its very unique!

Looks like the rifle is the accessory lol

Reminds me of this:

That BTW is an East German Trabant, a composite body 2-stroke peoples-car that originally looks more like this:

The car has a cult status all over Europe now and I hope the SR-22 will become a classic too. I own one (the SR-22 that is) and although I spent much less on mine, I couldn't help but to accessorize it , a little bit... Isn't that black one insanely cool though???
Now THAT must have cost a fortune to build

Ive seen somewhere on the web a .223 sleeve you can get to beef up the looks of the Butler Creeks, but for the life of me I cant find it now....

Buda, does your Black Drum have the steel lips on it? I looked at them and couldnt tell but did notice that the Promag Drum had the steel lips (or maybe vice versa). Have you put many rounds in the drum, any function problems, and will it connect to an autoloader?

The Black Dog drum only has polymer lips. I read lots of bad things about the poor quality of the Promag drum.

The Black Dog drum would not feed any of the .22lr ammo I put into it properly, but this is a known issue and the fix for it is documented on this forum and elsewhere.. have not tried the fix yet. You need to feed the drum by hand, but it's very easy and fast to load up.
