What's the difference between the SR22 and the Archangel kit. I know the SR22 has an aluminum chassis what is the Archangel kit made out of? Anybody here have an Archangel kit? Is the SR22 better than a 10/22 with the Archangel kit? Thanks for your help.

I think the archangel kit looks better. Its made of plastic but its "Mil-Spec battle proven polymers" as they call it. Its cheaper to buy a basic 10/22 and the archangel kit over the SR-22. but the archangel may take a bit of fitting (sanding) to make it fit correctly.

the rem 597 would be an even cheaper build, than the 10/22 archangel or the SR-22. looks pretty much identical.

I have seen a couple of the Archangel kits up close, and the SR-22 is much nicer in my opinion. It is barely cheaper to go the Archangel route, and the resale value of a stock SR-22 is going to be higher than an 10/22 with a sanded down Archangel kit, IMO.

well i own all 3, sr-22 / 597vtr / 1022 archangel and the only problem i have is not having 3 arms to shoot them all at once! and my shortage of 597 mags. the only thing here is remember the archangel kit is limited to mods, you cant change out the stock etc were the 597 you can mod up with ar goodies, price wise not alot of difference in the sr22 and arch angel if you go new 1022 for the angel.

the kid with the archangel (costing me about 400 bucks more than the sr22 was new and thats not including optics and its far from being were id like it to be yet)

The sr22, no question.
I've handled both, the archangel looks and feels like a toy in comparison.

The archangel does come with a (plastic) bayonet though. :dancingbanana:
