SR9 Recall

I just picked mine up from Reliable in Vancouver today but I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. I'll let you know what I think when I do.

Looked at one today at the local sports store here in Whitehorse. Impressed with the feel but the trigger is worse than any Glock I've tried. An inch of takeup then breaks at what felt like 6 or 7 pounds.
Nice sights! When are they coming in 40 S&W / 45ACP ?

I put a bit of time and elbow grease in to mine sweetening up the trigger by polishing the guts and taking a coil and a half(ish) off the striker spring. Made the world of difference. I have absolutely no regrets with it.

Just picked up my SR9 a few weeks ago. No problems so far and the price is right.

New to this site and glad to see there are more ppl like me!

i just bought a ruger sr9, i have put an hundred rounds through it so far and i love the gun. the problem with the "firing when dropped" was only one in every one hundred guns or something, and the recall parts are similar to what sig sauer already puts on thier guns as well. so i am happy with my purchase and for my first handgun i think this one is a sweet pistol for the money i spent ($650, canadian). i really dont even think there would have been any way possible for this thing to have gone off by dropping it, it has a long trigger pull before it would release and the part they added only makes sure the trigger cannot go back unless a finger is on the trigger, i personally think they were just trying to improve the safety features of an already great gun.

It fired when dropped during California state testing. They drop firearms form stupidly high heights, so I'm not surprised with that particular result.
