I saw this and figured I should share:

The SRM Arms Model 1216 semi-automatic shotgun is a new concept in shotgun design, one that features a detachable high-capacity magazine that holds 16 rounds of either 2 3/4 or 3-inch shells in four separate feed tubes. After firing four rounds, a shooter must rotate the magazine to the next feed tube to fire the next four rounds, until all four chambers are empty.

Roller delayed action provides fast cycling and reduced felt recoil, while an integrated picatinny rail combined with a 3-face handguard rail offers the shooter a broad range of options for mounting optics, sights and tactical accessories. Pushpin disassembly and break open design allows for easy field stripping and maintenance, while the ambidextrous receiver and controls make SRM Arms’ 1216 one of the most innovative new products on the market.

So 4 detachable 4 round mags, semi auto, is this a maybe for the Canadian market some day?

i wouldnt be surprised since theyre physically one cylinder, the 4 mag tubes would count as one 16-round mag.

From the description, since they do not act or feed like anything but four seperate magazines, I'd be surprised if there was a legal problem.

As it can fire only four rounds before the operator must manually switch the tubes, I would say legal.

I'm sure the RCMP would notice the needle on the fun meter rising and find some way to restrict or prohibit it.

If they were non-restricted I'd like to play with one, but how easy/quick would it be to get the next 16 rounds in? Would the cylinder be removed or is it loaded a single round at a time like a single action revolver?
