SRV2 Siberian Reviews

You're clearly in combination of denial and self-justification of your questionable decision to purchase this rifle. Because of that you're insulting other people who point out to the issue.
There's no problem that one gun broke. It happens with any brand.
The problem is that it seems BCGs are not machined from solid piece but made of cast metal. You see no problem here? Try replacing your BCG with plastic one, it will be a faster learning curve.

Your post is insulting and borders on libel.

Well, regardless of your position on the matter it would seem that BCL has not fully absorbed the lessons of the past with regards to Quality Control. A catastrophic failure of this nature rigt out of the starting block is problematic as BCL attempts to "build back better" with the Siberian brand.... Great job, BCL!!!

Is that because I called you or someone else "sheeple"? Oh, wait, that was not me.
Is that because my military education included basic psychology?
Or is that my knowledge in firearms manufacturing and history?
The presence of basic logic? Ability to make conclusions?
Or the fact that I don't shy to tell straight truth?
Tell me, oh Greatest Representative of Winter Flurries tribe, how could have I offended you?

And also let me reiterate. If you see no issue with cast metal / PM carrier in your semi rifle - you have a bigger problem than an on-line dude that hurt your feelings.

That's just great! Liberals just can't be happier.

Right.
What a toxic place full of infighting. This will be our collective downfall.
I really like this rifle so far, but it's not without its flaws. I own several high end rifles of different types. I also own some on the low end and enjoy them for what they are.
Love all the elitists here that are upset with how others spend their time and money. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Its great that people are sharing their experiences, both good and bad, but let people enjoy what they have and don't belittle your fellow gunnies. Not all of us are operators. Nor do some want to drop $3k+ on rifles that are about to be banned barring a change in government.
I'll continue to shoot mine and we'll see how BCL responds. I won't defend any company, but they all have issues, just depends on how they respond. I know NEA had issues, although I didn't experience any. My NEA AR was great, buddies 102 is great and my Siberian is good so far, so I'll make my own judgements based on my own experiences. I have heard a lot of positive feedback regarding BCL and their warranty, but just like Vortex, it'd be better if it didn't have to be used.

Get outta here with that reasonable attitude :p

Register for warranty, send them an email, turnaround time is 2 weeks with free shipping. BCL is not NEA. I wonder how long it would take if your US made firearm goes to sleep.

Give them a chance.

Thing is if you buy a quality gun that’s a much smaller percentage of chance it will happen. So… no. Buy something quality from the get go.

With all due respect, start naming the ones that the average guy or gal with an average budget can afford. Not everyone can ride the B&T or the IWI train.

Theres some decent iwi options in the EE, the SL8 is excellent at not much more money. I will admit choices have gotten limited since 2020, but at the end of the day I would rather spend $3k on a gun that’s 99% guranteed to last my lifetime than just burn $1600 on something that doesn’t work.

This, 1 million percent

Even if I had to pay a little more by putting it on CC and paying interest

I have a word for you but if I speak it out, I will get banned.

From my personal experience, people who are putting themselves above all others are nothing more than people with low self esteem who have to tell the world how great they are.

Yes I can see that the bolt carrier is ####, so what? Let's just wait and see.

I don't own a Siberian, so I couldn't care less. I have a SL8.

Yeah, I'm gonna skip your personal insults, because you know, that what usually ppl who are "above" do and instead will stick to topic and answer your phrase in bold.

...Or, read any decent book on firearms history, or rely on experience of anyone who read the book. Or be ignorant and call ppl who points to obvious flaws "sheeple" (no, you didn't do that, other "expert owner" did)

There is saying in the place where I am from: "Mice cried, pricked, but continued eating a cactus". And this threads turns to be not about cactus, but about mice. So I'll just get some popcorn for upcoming show and watch..

From that Reddit:

"but there were a few failures. in which the gun's bolt would get stuck open. the only way I was able to get it unstuck was to remove the rear takedown pin and re-sit the bolt assembly in the upper. I cleaned and lubed the gun again once I got home. I gave BCL a call & left a message. I could not find much regarding stuck open bolt problems for the AR-18 platform-style rifles online. maybe it's a one-off. The upper & lower is noticeably looser after running about 120 rounds through the gun. I'll provide an update once I talk to BCL."
:sok2
That isn't what I'd call "overall excellent build quality"...

I went into it eyes wide open. If the gun is a bust then that’s on me. Not the end of the world. I’m not insulting anyone. Just making observations. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

The BCG are cast ?

Is that 100% correct? Or speculation?
