I see that these have finally shipped out, I'm very curious about them. Anyone who has taken them out wanna comment on first thoughts? Mostly concerned about reliability and quality control as that hasn't been BCL's MO in the past. Thanks!

That was NEA and the owner of BCL was only an investor.

Based on my recent experience with a BCL Bison, StrictlyBusiness has a very valid point.
I will say though that BCL has stood behind the Bison 100%, and i have no reason to believe they wouldn't do the same with the Siberian.

I saw that one, but it looked like it was more about the fact that it had been introduced, not for reviews. But it's probably best to have one thread as the clearinghouse for info, so thanks for pointing it out.

It is actually makes more sense and easier to find information with separate threads, I just wanted to point out that information you're looking for is available in another thread.

Siberian range report incoming…

First time out and for disclosure, I’m a lefty…

First the bad…The right handed mag release and the left side charging handles makes things less smooth for a lefty like me. I’m pretty sure I can rig up an ambi mag release but I’m probably going to have to learn the lefty version of the AK cross over charging thing.

Now for the good…Rifle is a very soft shooter. I was expecting more kick given how light it is but it was way less kick than the other 180 variants I’ve tried (WK, MCR). Just shooting cheap Norinco 55 gr I wasn’t expecting great results but once I had it zero’d almost every hole was touching at 25 & 50 yards. Very similar to any of my AR’s…I expect the hits will spread out a couple inches at 100 and beyond but very encouraging so far. I ran through 160 rounds in about 30 minutes. Wanted to test the gun a bit and get it hot. Zero hiccups…ran like a top. Again, very encouraging so far.

Took it home and opened it up and was barely dirty at all and no obvious wear marks anywhere…no rub marks in places there shouldn’t be. Haven’t taken off the gas block yet but will leave that for a day far down the road (hopefully).

In summary, very fun gun to shoot and of the “cope” guns I’ve gone through, this is by far my favourite…Next week I will get it out to 100 and 200 yards and put another couple hundred rounds through. I have a couple of 3 gun matches coming up as well so more opportunities to test reliability. Will update this thread as I get out to the range.

There was one report that there were sharp edges in the grip/trigger guard? Does your unit have any of these? Thank you very much for your thoughts, everything the community is saying leads me to believe this may be the copium I need.

Thanks for the preliminary report. I've already thrown my lot in with Crusader Arms, but I'm glad to see my brothers and sisters in the copium market have another option! May you continue to have fun with it.
