SRV2 Siberian Reviews

yeah but if you look where the hammer and disconnector interface, the hammer has to travel further down to engage the disconnector on the ssp than on the s3g. you could most likely take a file to the ssp disco/hammer and shape them to look like the s3g and get it to reset. do it wrong and you would be proud owner of a short-lived full auto however.

Haven't fired mine yet, but tearing it down and checking it over I was really impressed. No rough spots, no imperfections, no machining marks, no blemishes. Everything seemed smooth and well finished (...well, except that gritty trigger!!), weight distribution was good for a NR rifle, and everything appears to work as it should. I've personally had good luck with BCL in the past, and so far this looks like a winner.

Made a PEEK/rubber buffer just for fun today. All by hand, if it works maybe I'll machine a nice version. Hopefully the bolt still has enough travel to cycle/lock back.

Edit: It did not, lol. 1/8" fine, 1/4" no bueno.

hmmm....

I looked at one last summer and it was clear there was bare aluminum under the cerakoted upper from the very few small nicks in the finish.
Based on past work including the last 102s I'd be really surprised to see them anodized underneath the cerakote, even on most recent examples.

The lower appears to be anodized. The (FDE) upper/handguard is definitely cerakote. I hope I don't find out of there's anodize under it, lol. I assume the whole thing will be anodized on the black version?

And 1/4" is definitely too think for a buffer, the bolt won't lock back anymore. 1/8" still allows the bolt to lock back.

How does it shoot Scotty?

For my purposes (3-gun, plinking), great. It doesn't recoil harder than it should (I.e. its gassed properly), especially with a decent brake on it. Accuracy is good enough. Seems on par with the majority of the .223 semis I've shot/seen; 2-3 MOA? Definitely not 1.5 MOA with average bulk .223 like some people claim. Maybe I got a lemon, maybe they got lucky. But I feel like 1 MOA is just not really feasible with an AR bolt style semi-auto and cheap ammo, and the people that makes those claims are exaggerating. Or they're the 'single 3-round group' guys that the stars align for one time, and then they have a 1.5 MOA cheap-o rifle from then on.
