Thanks for all of the research. I appreciate it. I wouldn't have thought it would be worthwhile as there is quite a bit of effort in stamping hundreds of rifles.

If you study up on WWII arms you will see a big difference between originals and modern forgery stamps!
I am right.

Fake. No such thing as a capture marked M44 from 1945. The practice of stamping captured kit was abandoned in early 1944.
