I have been doing a lot of research on my next gun, and had settled on the STI Trojan. Then while browsing the photo gallery here on the fourm I saw a couple pics of a stainless Trojan in 9mm.

I have searched a bunch of dealers and the EE, but have had no luck locating one. Anyone know of one for sale or were these a limited run and have now gone the way of the DO-DO?

I'd be looking at a hard-chromed Trojan, if I were you.

How about this? It's not in 9mm. It's not a hard-chromed Trojan. Is this close enough?

It is very nice, but I have enough .45's for now. Really looking for a 9mm on the 1911 platform, and really like the Trojan.

I know. That was the only pic of a hard-chromed STI on the STI website.

IMO, the hard-chromed Trojan is just as desirable as any stainless one.

Keep searching....1 f the nicest 1911 I have is my 9mm SS Trojan. Super clean and accurate, without much recoil. I don't like the plastic trigger and my change it later. I changed the smooth wood grips to a black rubber style.

9mm Longslide...

Have you seen the fabulous STI TargetMaster in 9mm yet? It has a carbon steel frame and slide, the ubiquitious Aristocrat three position rear sight, all set up for target use, and is not that expensive.
If you go to the STI sight, they will tell you who the stocking dealers are in Canada and they can order you one.
There is so much competition out there for a superb quality target 9mm in a 1911 platform. So many companies make one: S&W, SIG, Springfield Armoury, etc., but I like the STI TargetMaster the best. You will too.

I used to have a target master in chrome and a trojan, both in 9mm. They're not in the same price range but the finish is the same. I thought the chrome was though enough but to me, the accuraty of the trojan I once had was just awsome. Never got to make myself ammo that was performing in the Target Master. A Trojan in 9mm is a great choice. You don't see them for sale often in CGN's used section. It's a testimony of the owners satisfaction of this product.

For great service and great trigger tuning, go to Gunnar at Armco, you'll have to wait a couple of months for your gun but you'll have your Trojan in Chrome... and it just might be the best gun you will ever have.

Good luck !
