SSRS (Bull-pup) stock for M14

Under current law, bureaucrats at the Canadian Firearms Program can reclassify any firearm through orders-in-council. Such reclassifications are done without parliamentary input or oversight.

As reccently done with the G22 and AP80, not in a good way.

The stock is a stock, whether or not it comes on an M14 or separate. The Tavor is a bullpup rifle; there is no stock to take off. It IS the rifle, and is not specifically prohibited, hence why it is allowed.

Now if the phone jockey at the firearms center says you can have it, expect:

a) it to be kept at customs and never given to you, as it is a prohibited device that you are not licensed to own, and possibly face criminal charges for trying to illegally import it, or

b) the cops will come take it from you without compensation after they realize they made a mistake.

Thanks for telling everyone here what they already know. There's no such thing as a good OIC reclassification, by the way, so if that's what you're betting on you need to spend a bit more time doing the applicable research. The G22 and AP80 are the just latest. The Type 97 is probably the biggest example of an OIC reclassification, and if the government is ok turning hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of privately-owned and legally imported Norincos into nearly worthless prohibited devices, you might want to reconsider the CFC's expected stance on one dude trying to make a bullpup M14 for shiesses and giggles.

Usually I'm ok with new folks asking questions that have been raised 9032321 times, but you really need to realize that people are knowingly giving you the definitive answer here, not their opinion on what the answer will be. That, or learn to use the marginally functional search function... even it's nearly useless abilities will render an answer on this particular subject.
 
I am still waiting for a response and I can only hope I guess. I asked if it was attached using a method as to make it non-removeable in such a manner as too completely disable or damage the weapon (IE; Welded to the frame/reciever). I understand your distain for noob questions but we all start somewhere, and I tend to like things I can't normally have and I really like things that are similar to what I have played with in other countrys.

I still haven't got a response, but once I do I will then ask about the importation of the Kel-tec RFB which can't be fired without the stock as it is an integral part of the rifle. More than I want to spend but I want it too.

The RFB has been sold in Canada for a while now.
No, you can't import it from the US due to US Export restrictions, you'll have to buy the Canadian version(small changes due to export foolishness nothing major).

No go, it's still a bullpup stock. Now if you were to manufacture a new receiver that took an M-14 bolt/barrel, etc., then that might be legal. Although at that point you might as well just buy the RFB.

By just googling "kel tec rfb canada", several results came up saying that it is being imported to Canada...
 
Vault Distribution is the only importer of Kel-tec, they can point you to dealers in your area. Some sponsors stock them as well, I bought my SU16 from Wolverine Supplies.
