I'm headed to st Catherine's for the holidays and was wondering what gun stores to check out. Can any one recommend a good gun-hunting store that also stocks reloading gear?

Thanks

Not really a lot of choice down here. Bass pro just opened and has powder and what not in stock. Other than that, Erie Tracker in Port Colborne. Not sure what's in stock there.

If you feel like driving for almost an hour, you could hit Lawrys and Hummason however. Lots to be had there. In Caledonia and Ancastor respectively.

If you want to cross the river in Niagara Falls there is a Dicks Sporting Goods there. But it depends if your after non gun related items.

As yomama pointed out, all the good gun stores in St. Catharines are in Hamilton and St. Anns...:p

I was also just in that new BassPro a couple weeks ago too. It's a lot smaller than the one in Vaughan, so if you have been to the Vaughan one, don't expect much.

They were sold out of reloading supplies before they even opened and the selection is a bit limited, unless you need socks. Almost every section in the store has the Readhead socks on display, I kid you not.

Ryan at Fonthills Frontier Gun Shop, is very good, but he is barely open any more. Its closed most weekdays and only open about 4-5 hours on a Saturday, thats if he is open at all anymore. He's getting pretty old now and keeps short hours.

I think Frank limits himself to mainly repairs and custom work now. I don't think he's actually been a retail gun shop operation for the last 10 years or so.
