Good day all,
I have in my safe the following calibers, 7x57/7x57r, 7x65r(7x64), 30-06, 9.3x62 and then as wondering if Stabal 6.5 would be a good powder for those calibers(7x57 is a given) and what kind of velocity should I expect compare to RL19, h4895, h4350 etc?

Our local shop has a few pounds in stock(40 ish) so I was wondering for I should buy some since who knows when the 4350 and rl19 will be available up here !

It's awesome in .30-06 and .243 so far. I'm loving 165gr TTSX at 2950 out of a 22" Model 70. Book max loads, no pressure signs.

I'm getting similar results from my .30/06 Featherweight. I've only tried one bullet weight, 165 gr.

Likewise for the 7x57. Outstanding speed with a 160 gr. bullet.

Too slow, I think, for the 9.3mm. Unless you like modest speeds and low pressure.

Ok so maybe for the 7x65r it would be a great powder for 160-175gn bullets!
I should get a few pounds I think!

If you're on the hunt for data, I've found StaBall to be a little bit slower than 760, so you can use that as a starting point. For the 7x57, I start with 7-08 data, since both have similar case capacities, the 7-08 being slightly less. Current manuals have the 7x57 topping out at 45,000 psi, which is just silly in a modern rifle. Older Hornady 4th edition has decent 7x57 data.

Thanks I will look that up! But maybe I wait for some 4350… I mean I have 3lbs of IMR4350 and some H4350!

Yup, I purchased a pound of Stalball 6.5 yesterday, on the way home from the gun club. I'm going to try it in my 7x57 Mauser, so far, IMR-4064 is appearing promising.

In serveral calibers I have found Staball 6.5 to be less than inspiring. Published data shows fantasic velocity increases over similar traditional offerings but doesn't bear out in real life loading like serveral other powders like Superformance etc....
