I have a jury custom barrel in 7mm-08. Running 38.5gr varget and 162 eld-m on shoulder bump sized lapua brass with cci br primers and getting halfish moa out of it. It's not a lightweight barrel. Its lilja ar1024 profile 24" long 1-8 twist with a bat machine barrel extension headspaced on a lantac ebcg. The only thing I have shot through it that it doesnt like is the precision hunter 150 eld x ammo. Like 8 inch group at 200m. You can contact Bob jury of jury custom barrels and he will make you what ever you desire. His barrels are top notch single point cut rifled barrels. Works of art really.

The only thing I dont like is that even a saami spec reamer on 7mm-08 has a really long throat and you will never be able to get close to it seating to mag length even with xcrm mags. Not that that matter if you make straight ammo.

I chock it up to junk factory ammo. Sometime stuff just doesnt shoot worth a damn. That and the eldx are very inconsistent bullets themselves weight ranging +/-1 a whole grain in one box of 100
