STAG 10 A2 build?

Been wanting to get a build like this done... an oversized M16A4 is what I wanted to do. Too bad the Midwest Industries rifle length quad rail is now unavailable.

I’ve been trying to find an Armalite AR-10 detachable front sight to no avail.

I have the hard to find Armalite railed gasblock with the bayo lug... just need the front sight.
 
OP what is the total cost you're into that beast for?
My dream rifle has been a NR AR10A2 build. I've been debating doing the exact build you just completed for some time.
I've been waiting forever for one of the new Brownells retro AR10s to get a NR FRT though...on the fence between that and just jumping in on exactly what you have there.
 
Looks great. I’d like to do the same with an 18.5” How’s the length of pull?
 
How does the front triangle sight fasten to the barrel? Did you have machining done to the barrel so it can have the front site pinned to it?
 
Looks killer!!!

I'd add an larger magazine release, an talon ambi safety, a Geissele SSA-E, an improved buffer system and a nice BFG padded vickers sling and call it a day!!! Would keep its awesome retro looks, but will have modern and enchanted internals and controls :)

The guy fired two rounds out of it and then I sent it away to get an FSB put on on May 1st. When I got it back July 31st, I asked them about the damage, they said it was damaged in shipping. I sent them photos of the box, which was in perfect shape. They then asked for the serial number to order a new upper. I haven’t heard from them since August 22.

Would you be able to post/share links to the exact parts you bought to build it?

When you said damaged it I thought they actually ####ed his gun up or did a bad job not just scratched the pretty shiny finish lol
I wouldn't even look twice at that personally or give half a #### but if you're really OCD I guess it's annoying.
Did they do a good job on the FSB?

Lol...

It IS damaged...he paid them money for work to be done and they marked it up in a few spots, worse they didn't own up to it and it is very very visible.

They should have at the VERY least informed him...and ideally FIXED THEIR MISTAKE/S and/or offer a discount on the services done.

That is literally how most things like this are done outside of the firearms community...
 
For an A2 setup, I understand the rifle buffer is different, however, is the spring the same as a 5.56 AR15 ?
