Stag 10 and bulk ammo

I don't use steel cased ammo in mine, call it personal preference.

I have used lots of Hirtenberger and have used some of the Federal, both of these fed reliably and accuracy is "acceptable" for bulk ammo.

I have shot probably 200+ rounds of Barnual 145gr FMJ thorugh my Stag 10...all shot and functioned fine...no paper accuracy testing was done but me and 2 other buddies can shoot the 18" steel plate 4/5 - 5/5 times at 300 yards with irons and shooting prone off a bag.

I have a scope now (still have the ####ty stock trigger tho) and I have 40 rounds of Barnaul left...will "paper test" it next time I go out at 100 yards.

I have also put a 300+ rounds of Magtech M80 as well...good ammo, was priced well but Rampant doesn't seem to carry it anymore :(

I have used LC, Norc copper washed, Barnaul 145SP, IVI, and a few others. I actually haven't had a single issue of any kind through 1500+ rounds.

I've put just shy of 500 rounds Federal XM80CS 7.62x51 through my build and it's functioned fantastic. Quite pleased with the accuracy out of my 18.6" Maple Ridge 5r barrel. Don't care for shooting groups, but I can chase a pop can up a gravel bank at a little over 100yds looking through my holosun 510c.

I too wanted to post if anyone has had success with steel case with their stock Stage 10. To date I've had good results with pretty much anything brass that I've fed it. I do have issues to feed/extract when I try to load up the max number of rounds in a mag (PMAG 5/10 or XCR-M 10). I just load 1 less round and issue gone. My best results to date with a stock 308 Stag 10 is with bulk Rem UMC 150gr that I picked up from Tenda. Just a little under 1 MOA.

When using a magazine loaded to full (Canadian) capicty and having issues but then not with downloading it 1...usually means its pinning job is a bit tight.

My Stag10 ran like a charm on the Fed XM80. It even handled Hornady Steel Match like a champ. Too bad the Steel Match is no more. Was good stuff.

Norinco x51, OTOH... choked.

Nothing worked right in my Stag until aligned and tightened the gas block.
Now it shoots everything 95% of the time.
500 rounds of Norinco copper washed 7.62x51, 240 rounds Hirtenberger, 100 rounds of Barnes TTSX 168, and sad to admit, 50 rounds of Barnhaul.
Completely stock Gen 1 Mlok version of the Stag 10.
Uses both 10 round XCR metal mag as well as pinned 5 round pmag.

Weights 12.2 lbs, but I am afraid of putting lighter BCG, barrel, etc and then have to troubleshoot why it doesn't cycle properly.
