Stag 10 Barrel options

Still wondering what stock barrel weight is for the 18.75" stag10.
The stag website only lists 18" barrel. The lengths might not make a big difference in weight, but the other differences might, such as barrel med / heavy contours.
I handled a savage MSR10 hunter, and it feels MUCH better to handle. Not only lighter front end, but also smaller contour handguard. Unfortunately, it is restricted.

After handling it though, I want my STAG 10 to be just as easy to carry, and quick to point as the MSR10.

Therefore, I am figuring out if I do the handguard, or barrel to lighten up the front. (Hopefully not having to do both)

My thoughts are barrel will make twice the difference, at twice the price...

That Fulton Barrel is a best, And so is the Fulton HP BCG but just over 8lbs naked is pretty decent for a AR10 that I built to handle anything i can trow at it.

I weighed my Stag 10 last night... she's a bit on the porky side at 12lbs with scope. I recall reading the stock barrel being north of 3lbs. I'm tempted to lighten her down as well but adding an A2 stock probably didn't help. I'm tempted to switch back to a stock carbine tube and maybe a PRS3 stock and then swap for a Minimalist if I take it into the bush, add to that a fluted barrel. I've read some folks getting their Stag 10 to just over 7lbs. Damn!

Haha it's kind of funny how thing go in circles a bit... like 10-15 years ago the 416r stainless 5.56 bbls were all the rage vs chrome lined barrels, commanding about twice the price. Namely because of the increased wear resistance and accuracy over 4140 and not having any of the issues with chrome flaking off(and it does/will, the barrel will still shoot decent, look up the 15000rd brass/copper vs steel ammo bbl shootout)

AE says their stock 18.75" barrel is 1.375 Kg(3.03 pounds rounded). So, it's almost the exact same weight as the IBI 19" Standard profile.

Picked up a faxon, 308 fluted match, haven’t tried it yet but it fits my stag 10 receiver like a glove, zero slop so that’s promising!

I guess asking here is as good a place as any. Is there any sort of market for the Fulton 18.5", 308 AR, Light Weight, Criterion barrel? Can I even sell it?

Yes, it's legal to sell, but the market will be slim unless the May 1st OIC is overturned. We should have the judges findings anywhere from a week to a couple months from now.

I've been looking for an answer to the question about whether you can sell some AR parts. I'm glad I found your post. I also have a 20" large frame AR Faxon Barrel I'd like to sell. Thanks
