What you are saying makes more sense. I follow now. The bolt is trying to cam shut before the case is fully seated and the corners are catching on the barrel extension. That makes more sense now that I've thought about it.

Sorry I got the rotation of the bolt wrong so was thinking it was on the unlock and was thinking of dwell time as meaning the time the bullet is in the barrel after the gas port. I was a little confused about your thought on more dwell time equaling better accuracy. I'm still somewhat confused as to why you're using a heavier buffer with an adjustable gas block unless you had issues with loading the next round? I use a less than standard weight buffer for less reciprocating mass/less secondary recoil. I wouldn't think that a heavy buffer wouldn't have any effect on accuracy or SD as it would not be moving until the bullet is out of the barrel.
Not to say that you're doing anything wrong either. Must be working fine after 6 hundred plus rounds
