I just got my stag 10 stripped upper and lower about 2 weeks ago and my rear take down pin is really tight. I have to use excessive force with both thubs to push it in, and then a small punch and mallet to take it out. I tried contacting arms east twice and haven't gotten a response. I also just got in an order of parts from magpul, everything looks amazing it's just my pmag seems a bit loose and rattly. Has anyone else had either of these problems?

As far as I know a lot of AR style receivers come from the get-go with very tight pins. I don't have a Stag-10 but a couple of my AR-15 receivers' pins have been very tight. It's better its tight than loose anyway.

If you have a metal magazine to try in your gun other than the PMAG it could just be the PMAG, or the Stag might just not have an overly tight magazine well. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the Stag can chime in.

Be happy it's tight because it will loosen up after a few thousand rounds.

My takedown pin was excessively tight. I took a ribbon of fine sandpaper too it and polished it up a bit and it's much better now.

Mags are a little loose in the Stag. As long as you can't pull it out without pushing the mag release you'll be fine. Pmags are good in mine. XCR mags fall out unless you pull the metal out a little where it connects to the mag catch

that rear pin pressure may be cause by the tension bolt on the lower?

if you look at you lower receiver, just inform of the buffer tube you should see a green plastic tipped bolt. is it sticking past the surface of the lower receiver?

Just a thought.

Should not be like that. I have to use a mallet and punch when I mount an upper from a different manufacturer, but not with the Stag upper.
