You want a Ar trigger specd out for .308 like the SSA-E if not you will run into LPS or no reset.
I've got the SSA-E set aside for when I finally get my stuff.

Details !!! What you building 45ACPKING ?
I've posted my plans a few times but this all started with wanting a wilson combat ultralight hunter in 338 fed , 20" barrel. No one has applied for the frt that I'm aware of so was gonna wait for the bcl 102 reviews and the wait to die down. Then Arms East comes out of the blue with this stag-10 non restricted and I was like "##### ya bud!" in true canadian fashion......
so..... 7mm-08 upper , 19" , no muzzle device, stag bolt probably and other parts to be determined and will used when my wife comes deer hunting.
main upper will be .338 federal, 19" fluted barrel by Bob Jury , no muzzle device, slr rifleworks adjustable gas block, stag bolt for now, stag trigger as it seems fine to me for my needs, diamondhead 15" high handguard. optic undetermined but will be a short range (0-300) etched recticle like a 1x, 1-4 , 2-8 ect. longer eye relief to afford room for flip sites mounted on 45 degree offsets. She will be a hunting rifle. I'm also working on my own ultralight buttstock and handguard that might be lighter and more ergonomic for fielding the rifle as a hunting tool.
What handguard you got there?Decided to put my own together this go around. I didn't like the 308 barrel options.
I just received my Stag 10 upper/lower along with BCG, buffer, buffer spring and charging handle.
This is a quality product. The upper/lower comes with lower parts kit installed, including an enhanced aluminum trigger guard and hogue grip. I changed out the grip as I prefer the ergo, but the hogue isn't bad. Plus the lower had a nice hex screw for the pistol grip rather than some of the cheap stuff I've seen with other companies. BCG looked very good. I took it apart and oiled it. Everything looks like quality.
I did have an issue though trying to use a PWS enhanced buffer tube. It just didn't sit right in the Stag. I tried two different PWS enhanced buffer tubes and the same problem with both. So I had an older unknown brand buffer tube sitting around and used that. Went on perfectly. Looks great.
If you're planning on putting an AR308 together, these sets will be the easiest way to do it. The upper/lower aren't stripped which makes life a lot easier. The upper has the forward assist and dust cover installed. The lower is almost complete. You need to assemble the rear take down pin which is easy along with your buffer tube etc. Handguard and barrel components are all that's left. Again easiest AR308/AR10 build you will see.
Just waiting for the barrel assembly. Should be here any day.

I found the CH a little on the small side , I got a raptor for my next one.

will that handguard cover the gas block?
I'm in same boat and have everything collected but the barrel.... and I guess i still need a sling and iron sights.
I changed gears on the handguard for now
stag -10 upper/lower
stag LPK
Stag charging handle
stag bolt
stag carbine buffer tube assembly
Superlative Arms adjustable gas block
Lantac nitride gas tube
and I picked up the JP Signature series 15.5" handguard, which fits real nice and is the look/feel i want but seems long .
Guess I'll see how it shapes up once a barrel is fitted.
Curious what the issue with the PWS was? Mine fits perfectly
That's weird Epoxy, I've got the PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube Mod 2 in my Stag 10, no issues installing it and the JP SCS 308 buffer (I installed with the detent even though it's not necessary). What was the issue with yours?
FWIW I'm still waiting for Stag to get back to me for a fix for my mag falling out issue, getting so antsy to get it finished because all the parts are here.
What’s the advantage of an adjustable GB?
I’m doing some more load development this weekend, using 165, 168, and 178 g bullits.
I’ve done this exact same testing in my last Stag 10 and was getting some loose PP and an extraction mark on the brass.m
By loose PP , i mean they were loose when I primed them on the second firing.
My max load was 45.5 g of Varget.
Right on,You can adjust the gas coming back, it save save some wear and tear by giving it enough gas to cycle and not so much that it smashes the BCG to the rear. It can thereby reduce the recoil impulse. If you get a low Mass BCG or Taccom buffers and springs it would be a requirement so you don't destroy your high dollar BCG, and again this can reduce the recoil impulse even more with less reciprocating weight.
Some people don't trust it to perform in all situations though. You can always up the gas if need be but that usually requires an Allen wrench. If things get dirty or you change ammunition you might need more gas to cycle properly. Most ARs are over gassed for reliability. The idea with the adjustable gas block is that you give it just a touch more has than is required to hold the bolt open on an empty magazine.
Right on,
Is there a bullit weight that’s more suited to a .308 ,20 inch barrel,1-10 twist, that an adjustable GB is not required?
