I've taken my custom stag 10 to the range a few times but I find that I'm not a huge fan of the trigger. Does anyone know what the pull weight of the stag trigger that comes with the upper and lower is? (I dont have a scale to measure it) and what would be the pros and cons of a drop in trigger vs a kit trigger for hunting/occasional target shooting. Also if you have any trigger recommendations that I dont have to sell a kidney for that would be awesome aswell.
Thanks

I put a Geissele G2S in my Stag, never even used the factory one. I prefer 2 stage triggers in my AR type rifles.

I have a SSA in my AR15 and can't tell the difference between the G2S and the SSA. For the money, the G2S is a fantastic two stage trigger.

I know I could probably look this up but what are the advantages of having a 2 stage trigger for hunting vs a normal single stage? (I've never shot a rifle with a 2 stage)

I've just always preferred having two stages. The first stage is kinda like a "ready" stage, with the second stage being a crisp break. You can leave the "ready" stage and go back to the start if the moment isn't right. That's the best way I can describe it.
Google or youtube it, lots of great info on the difference between single and two stage triggers.

I have a hyperfire eclipse on my stag ten and its a fantastic trigger and with the extra springs i have not had any light primer strikes, i like it so much i modified the trigger box on my macabee SLR and installed one on that as well

Several good but typically expensive AR triggers available depending what you want.

If you don't want to spend much get the ALG-ACT, great single stage for a reasonable price.

Having said that, look up the AR trigger paracord mod on youtuibe, get the JP AR trigger springs and look up the Jo Bob trigger stopper bolt. You'd be surprised how much better you can make the Stag 10 mil spec trigger for very little money.

Nesh, stock stag10 trigger is hit or miss.
I ordered my G2S at the same time as I ordered my Stag...
Trigger was BO so I had time to shoot the stock trigger, and mine was GREAT...
Not just good, but actually GREAT.

I do like the 2 stage option with the G2S for hunting, when you have to wait for an ethical shot, without shaking... lol.

I got 150 rounds of Hirt, and 150 rounds of Norinco surplus through it, no issues... (Since tightening the gas block)
Roughly 30 Barnes TTSX rounds as well. (Bloody expensive)
