Stag-10 vs Modern Hunter

I still have a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 on my 7-08 hunting rifle and a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 on my Savage A-17. I sold my two 6-24x50 Viper PST and won't be buying any more Vortex products.

I have a Burris E1 2-7 on my Magnum Research 22WMR, great scope for the money.
I picked up a Burris Veracity 4-20x50 which is on my Krieger barreled M-14 (Norc receiver but pretty much everything else has been changed). Reticle is a little thick for precision shooting but it's nice and clear and will make a nice varmint/predator scope.
I also have a Trijicon 5-20x50 on my Rem 700 223. Great scope but the prices have jumped up a lot since I bought mine.

Burris Veracity 4-20x50. 12.2 pounds with the scope.

Sightron S-Tac 3-16x42. It's 11.1 pounds without the bipod and 9 pounds just the rifle.

Factory carbon fiber barrel with the Trijicon 5-20x50. Unfortunately this one has a 12 twist barrel so is limited to lighter projectiles and inside 300M. I have played a little with it at 600M but it was not impressive with the light projectiles. I should try some load development with some 50-60gr projectiles and see what it does.

I'm likely just going to use my Burris E1 3-9X that's on my BCL 102 for my Stag 10 build. I have a Kinetic Sidelok mount on it so it snaps off and on in a second. I'm really impressed with these mounts. I want to keep it as an all around since I have the restricted AR308 rifles, especially the heavier ones for mostly target use. I will see how it goes.

I have a Criterion 20" hybrid SS 1:11.25 twist with M118LR chamber and nitrited on the way for the Stag 10 build. Plus the nitrited SLR adjustable gas block along with a nitrited gas tube. I figured I'd keep it all the same. Along with a MI 12" handguard, this should be a relatively light weight AR308. Not super light, but not bad.

Definitely sounds like a nice "all around" build should be plenty accurate, and still light enough for field use.

Should be decent.

I'm also looking at one of those barrels from Maple Ridge armory. Originally I emailed them regarding a 20" 1:11.25 twist 308 barrel for the Stag 10. However at that time they weren't going to be making one in that configuration. After some input on CGN they have changed their mind. So I will likely pick one of those up if the price is reasonable for the BCL 102. I'd like to go a heavier profile and maybe their helical fluting.. Will see. I want to shoot the stock BCL 102 first. See how I can do. Then maybe go to this new barrel. If nothing else, for ease of not having to adjust reloads and being able to shoot the exact same ammo as my other 308 rifles. Just a thought for now.

With regards to scopes... The new Trijicon 4.5-30X that they just released. I believe that is the same scope as the Delta Stryker 4.5-30X. Minor differences such as slightly different reticle illumination and the markings. However they look to be the exact same scope out of the Lows factory in Japan. While I would prefer the Trijicon logo/name the Delta Stryker was a good deal at $2150 to my door during a recent sale.
