I am so pleased with my new Stag, and I can't believe I waited so long to get one. Righty's won't understand, but it is so amazing to be shooting a gun set up just for lefties :) Any other lefties shooting one of these?

Pretty nice, I'm kerr-fisted, I thought the C-7 back in the day was okay to handle, the only thing wrong was the ejector spring was replaced with one from a ball-point pen(previous user), and the ####ty Vietnam-design rear sight. Pretty nice gun, too bad they aren't restricted, I might get one if they weren't. Enjoy!

ya.. thats odd that they set you up with a regular right handed lower.
I thought they made a "lefty lower" too.
Mine is right handed, but so am I.

The safety is ambidextrous. The bolt and mag releases are set up the traditional way, but it does not seem to be a problem. I can easily reach and depress the bolt release with my index finger on my left hand. The mag release is a little more tricky with the left hand, but it is not too bad though.

What I can't get over is the price.... $1450! It is a steal of a bargain when I consider what I've shelled out on some of my HKs.

Lefty

As a lefty, but not an owner of an AR, I have to commend Stag Arms for making the lefty option available. I'm not sure if, or how profitable it is, however, it is a great service for us lefties. Just to mention , if I was in the market for an AR, I would definitely support Stag.

I'm a lefty but I've never been bothered by right handed rifles. I'm sure it's been answered before but why is the ejection door set up like that as opposed to the traditional flip down?

As a lefty speaking from painful experience you haven't lived until you have shot an older AR without the case deflector. My Bolles have case marks in them. That said my poor excuse for a black rifle (180B) throws the cases forward and not in your face.

I like my 180b. With a little work it shoots moa with good handloads. Reliable as a train easy to clean and my go to groundhog and beaver gun even works in a pinch for deer.

I am thrilled Stag makes a lefty AR. When the time comes to get one (Feb or Mar 07) I will definitely buy from Stag.
