I have one - 12.5" and it shoots really well. Never had a FTF or FTE. I replaced some parts on it to spruce it up - Rainier Arms Charging Handle, Noveske Bolt Carrier Group - works really well. You'll enjoy your purchase. All the best!
I have a stag model 2R LE I bought a little over 2 years ago. I love it. Same as mentioned above it works flawlessly. The only FTF I ever had was caused by a cheap no name mag that was releasing 2 rounds at a time for some reason...I have tried Pmags, surplus mags, and others that have fed absolutely perfect every time. I even fed it about 150 rounds of cheap, dirty, steel cased crap I had laying around and not a single failure. Lots of nice ARs out there but I really like my Stag and have every confidence you will too. Congrats!

So you swapped a CMT bolt carrier group for another CMT bolt carrier group?
Was the Noveske one HP/MPI tested while the other one wasn't?
I have a 2T, and like it very much. I've had no issues which weren't related to #### I bolted on (Magpul BAD lever) or mags (POS LAR15 mags which require a ton of modification to run correctly; Magpul Gen M3 Pmags won't drop free without slightly filing the catch tab on the side.)
Rifle is decently accurate, though I had a 2R a few years ago that was exceptional for a rack-grade gun.
I installed a Geissle SSA trigger, which is an excellent upgrade IMO, though the factory trigger wasn't egregious. I also added a Magpul CTR and MIAD, and a Rainier Raptor charge handle.

I have a 2T with the 1:9 barrel (closer to 1:8). Slickest action of all my AR rifles. It's a nice patrol style AR15. I have a CTR, magpul MOE grip and Raptor charging handle on mine. It's my patrol/general duty style AR. I like it. However I also like the diamondhead free float handguard models Stag is making.

HP/MPI full auto BCG.
The brake is just OK but the rifle is a keeper just the same.
I can't see myself selling it unless I get another Noveske in 18".
