Stag arms, any owners/users?

Im looking for firsthand info on stag arms uppers, lowers, and compleate rifles Just wondering if they are decent or if they are junk? Are they compareable to armalite?

I recently purchased a lower for a custom built and they are every bit as good as LMT/COLT/Armalite, excellent service and all components dropped right in without and fitting.

I'm no expert on AR's but I sure enjoy my Stag's shooting performance. Smooth and trouble free.

I've owned 2 colts in the past, My Stag 1R is every bit as good (if not better).

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Stag. Top quality stuff in my opinion.

I bought a stripped Stag lower for my first AR build and found it to be excellent. Parts dropped in without any problems and everything fits nice and snug. There is no play between the upper I have and the Stag lower. I would not hesitate to buy another.

My Stag 16" is very nicely finished and it shoots reliably.

Stag components are generally milspec which makes modifications and interchange of parts easier than on guns which are not milspec. Also consider pin sizes, buffer tube materials and dimensions, bolt carrier shape, metallurgy and inspection criteria.

Armseast (Dangertree) is great to deal with, and he is adding products to his line for when you need rails, vertical grips, etc.

I got a Stag stripped lower and lower parts kit from Arms East. Everything went together like a fine Swiss watch. Finish is excellent. It's as good as my Colt IMHO :) I can definitely recommend the Stag products, as well as dealing with Walter of Arms East.

Purchased a complete last month. Walter is an awesome guy to deal with. Very positive and patient. The rifle itself is a tackdriver and works great.

JD, if you're still going to be around Calgary, talk to JR or Redleg at TSE. They've got them in stock and I'm sure they'll let you fondle them. ;) I can send pics in the meantime.

For you guys in the Vancouver area, Hunter's will have them too (*) ;) <-Ray.

Dave at Target Sports, Wes at Epps, in Ontario. Frank/Karim at CRAFM in Montreal. Valhalla in NS. Have all sold Stag-15s, and hopefully will have what you need on hand in the future. If I left you out, sorry, tell me.

We'd like that list grow, so if you know of a dealer who knows their AR's and gives good service, please drop us a line at info@armseast.com and tell us.

A good local dealer who is knowledgeable in AR-15s is worth their weight in gold, and we hope you buy from them and can assist you in doing that. That said, we're still a new line in Canada and aren't everywhere, if you need something, and for whatever reason you can't buy locally, we ship to everywhere that Canada Post delivers. To those who have ordered from AEI, we appreciate your business.:beerchug:

Local dealers grow the shooting sports.

I love it.

I have both a stag lower and a DPMS, both of which were built up by myself. The Stag went together smoother than the DPMS, and is much tighter in upper to lower fit with my Armalite upper.

I am already planning on buying one or more Stag AR15s as built up rifles in the future, I think I may sample some of their 6.8spc offering just for fun next...

Just buy the stag, you won't be disapointed.

Walter/dangertree Im about 500 miles from calgary so its going to have to be mail order buy before you try lol. Does nobody go with the a2 butstock anymore, I like the look of it over the colapsable, and would think its more stable.

is it my math that is off, or would it just be cheaper to buy an upper with the BUIS (model RH2-$810), and lower with the M4 stock ($455), than to buy a complete rifle? (model2R for $1415.)
