You get lifetime warranty with complete rifle. Its worth the extra $100 in my book.

Add to that, a rifle case and a magazine to the lifetime warranty

Edit: Sorry Darko, I unintentionally repeated your answer. .

I did not realize it came with a few extra mags and the case. What type/style of case is it? Hard/ soft case?

I had contacted Walter asking him the same question as you, I believe it comes with one mag. Don't know about what kind of case.

I am leaning towards a M4 lower and perhaps a 16" POF upper with rail if those come in. They are NOT cheap so it may be a while unless there is more interest.

10 times more fun than LEGO...

So today the mailman came and I joined the Stag-Club:

...stay tuned for the complete rifle, hopefully it will be finished within September.

I got a call from a local shooter the other day who needs some help with his Stag upper....apparently it's shooting well off to one side, even with the sight adjusted fully to the stop.

Will post pics/results of what I find on Monday (with the owner's permission.)

This will be my first hands-on with a Stag, so I'll be interested to compare with Armalite and Colt that I have on hand.

This sounds like a nightmare I had with a Colt upper that had been messed with. The front sights cant to the left when you tighten the barrel nut due to excessive play in the barrel notch.

Results are in.

I had the upper in the shop for a few minutes, checked some things out, and it appears that the front sight base is canted.

It's about 1.5mm off to the side. We eye-balled it, then used a straight-edge for comparison.

The front sight base is pinned on using tapered pins, so there'd be no adjustment possible at the front end, and there's no slack in the rear slot (receiver pin) to allow any movement.

So, ArmsEast has agreed to take it back, and send a new upper.

BZ to Arms East.

Good to hear. I'm saving up for my next upper. I guess you don't advocate "indexing" the FSB with a mallet as was suggested to me at ar15.com;)
