Stag arms, any owners/users?

Good to hear. I'm saving up for my next upper. I guess you don't advocate "indexing" the FSB with a mallet as was suggested to me at ar15.com;)

Um....No.

The FSB is a cast part.....taking a mallet to it....well...not good? I can't imagine it shattering, but it would deform....not right.

Also, if you have the Armalite type screw tightened FSB, you can loosen to align slightly, but be careful, as you may then be Mis-aligned with the gas hole in the barrel, causing a whole host of other problems, eh?

Glad to hear things worked out in this case, BZ to Arms East.

Hmm here I am with no lower yet, and looking at my upper trying to figgure out if the front sight is canted. I have tryed eyeballing it, but can't realy tell either way. Guess I will have to wait untill I get a lower. Anyone know of any retailers that have a stag arms lower with a2 stock?

Now I am paranoid...lol. Mine looks canted to the left a bit and when I was at the range I had to have the rear site almost full right to get on paper. Maybe this is my problem as well.....

oh man... why doesn't someone take a 'square' (tool), place the upper on a perfectly level table, then put the 'square' near the front sight to see if it is on straight or not. Get what I am saying?

:D

You can do what G37 suggests or just hold some thread on the front site and pull it through the rear site hole and eyeball along the barrel. It works better with the handguards off so you can see how it lines up.

If it looks straight it's probably okay.

Armseast has A2 lowers for sale I think.

Just wanted to put a good plug in for Walter at Arms East. My Stag had a canted front sight...he took it back and sent me a new upper asap. It shoots perfect now :D Excellent service and product. I will definately be a repeat customer. Thanks Walter!!
