Stag-Arms AR-15L?

It caught my eye, assuming RPAL is in possession, any semi-only versions to us Nucks availale, preferrably without having to deal with the hoopla of getting it imported (I.E. someone already has a few in the great White North to sell)?

Also, what's with the AR-15 being restricted, the AR-180 being prohib, but the AR-180B non-listed (and as far as I understand from searching, it being non-restricted, provided the barrel is the 20 incher, and not carbine form?)

AR15 and AR180 restricted and prohibited by name, not through any charachteristics of the guns themselves, by OIC back in the day.

18 1/2" AR180B is non restricted due to the fact that it does not share the sheet metal lower receiver of the original AR180, and therefore cannot be considered a variant of it. Integral recoil comp brings barrel length to the limit for a non restricted rifle in Canada.

The more regs they make, the stupider it gets.

Considering it is called an "AR-5L", I imagine it will be classed as a variant of the AR15 and thus restricted.

new info: Being that an AR-15L uses a standard AR15 lower receiver and is just an AR with a left handed upper, it is DEFINITELY restricted.

It is a left handed variant of the AR15. It is compatible with "real" AR15,, except the bolt carrier group I would think.

Alright, I don't mind the extra hassle of of getting a restricted PAL on top of a reg PAL. I'm looking at a .22 1911 for plinking at the range anyways.

Get a Dlask lower and buy the Marstar VZ .22 cal upper.
