Stag Arms model 2 eating itself??

You Sir, need a new charging handle.
There is one in the post to you, let us know how it works out.
If you want to keep the tac-latch, swap it into the new charging handle.
Some surface wear on an AR bolt will be normal, it does stabilize quickly though.
Anything else, keep in touch.

Thanks again,
Walter

-Otherwise, saw asked, Stag Arms charging handles are mil spec 7075. I put the boots to them same as the CF charging handle.

Walter

Thanks again for the great customer service! I'll slap in handle number 3 and run this baby hard at the range this week. I'll let you know if there are any further issues with this thing eating up the handle. Also I won't be reusing the tac latch its too damn long and feels wrong. Maybe later I'll try one of the shorter ones but for now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Have a good'un and tell mudder I says luvs ya and I'll be home for a visit soon!;)

Other than the crack in the original charging handle it all looks normal to me. The little "groove" in the top go the lower is most likely from the little roll pin in the charging handle sticking out the bottom a few thousandths too far.

Forgot to post this a few days ago but double checked the roll pin on the latch and it's seated properly.

Either way I'm gonna use this thing and keep an eye on it. Hopefully no more issues. Thanks again to the guys at Arms East for dealing with the issue quickly.

Ha!

No problem.

And, I share your thoughts above on those tac latches. ;)

New AR guy

This (and other reasons) is why I am glad I bought a Stag :D

I just got my Stag AR this month. As most of you know there is a mind boggling choice available.

I went with Stag for several reasons not the least of which is that they come through Arms East. I have dealt with AE for a pistol I bought last year and was "UBER" impressed with the service and attitude.

I was a professional buyer for most of my working career and learned a bit along the way. My personal policy is to "buy into" a company and then select the product.

Arms East has the qualities that earn my respect and loyalty. It's nice to see my decisions reinforced.
