GMC camshaft break in lube is what I use now on new or freshly machined rifles. Once they've been around for awhile a bit of the closest grease is good enough.
Drill collar dope may be the best of all for preventing galling. The metal content is all about galling, and we could buy everyone on this thread a Barret for what a string of tools costs.If there was better, you can bet we'd be useing it.
