Was hoping too find a Stainless CZ75 that found its way into Canada before the import ban. Did not see any other than at Tenda and I missed it. Was just wondering what I should expect too pay with the ban tax of course if I do find one. Also if there was any difference for the quality of stainless finish between the surplus/commercial versions and Pre B/B models. I have a blued CZ75 that I could get redone in stainless if someone has done that in the past and can recommend a good place too do that. Help/leads are appreciated. Thank you.

I've seen a few stainless CZ75 units come and go (very quickly) on the used market since May. Try a WTB ad: It costs you nothing and they work better than most people seem to think.

If you're going to get your blued CZ75 cerakoted, I strongly recommend that you do not go for the lowest bidder. I've heard very good things about Black Box Customs, I'm sure others will chime in.

As suggested, try Tiger Arms. They had some in the store recently but not on their site. I remember a nickel one, but not sure about stainless.
This is mine in factory satin nickel.

Thanks... I dont know sorry. I have had a few cz's come and go over the years, but I really like the pre b's.
Really good trigger and no firing pin block. Very accurate, lots of fun to shoot.

All the stainless models are beauties - matte, polished and brushed. Can't go wrong.

Ellwood Epps has some CZ 75 clones made by Tanfoglio called a Mossad in a hard chrome finish.

There is also Israeli surplus IWI Jericho 941F in hard chrome as well which are also CZ 75 clones.

Its an electroplating process that deposits a really thin layer of chromium to the surface of the substrate. Its basically a new wear layer to protect whats underneath.

And a good hard chrome finish is just about the best finish on a firearm. Very high corrosion and wear resistance. Needs to be a good chrome job. Not all are equal.

Is the "hard chrome" actual electroplating though? Or just one of those chrome-coloured finishes? I've never seen it in person, and in photos it seems to look like cerakote.

Its actual electroplating and its thicker than a traditional cheap flashy "chrome" job. Its a hard wear-resistant surface finish. Definitely not baked on paint.
