Stainless Howa Mini in North America

As soon as they offer the heavy alloy floor plate I'll buy a few Mini's, until then hard pass.
Those Legacy plastic garbage trigger housing and insane expensive mags I'll never buy.
OH...and if I get another Howa with the Ruger American zipper bolt, I'm out forever lol.

I am in New Zealand right now, there is a heap of the 1500 stainless light weights, .243,708,308, down here, they are seriously nice rifle, slim thin barrel, 18” by the looks, reminds me of the old M700 mountain rifle,
$2300 NZ so about 1600-1700cad, for comparison a sako 90 is 5 g.
Local hunting and fishing store, must have 8-10 Howa rifles, sum carbon barrel, few light weights, few minis, only rifle they had more of was Tikka.
Half a dozen spare stocks, in the corner, and a couple barrelled actions on the shelf, pretty good, well priced rifle for NZ wet, rough conditions,
Currently looking for a takedown rifle, but was eyeing up the spare stocks, wondering if i could chop the barrel to 15”, screw on a surpressor, and find a way to butcher the stock to fold or takedown,
