Stainless steel CZ 455??

Again, Prophet river had some CZ barrels 1/2 hour ago - HA! And you can get Lilja and other aftermarket for 'super accurate'.
Or just buy one of Mike's rifles . . .

Dkd05 - et al ; Looks like some of those sites don't say OOS until I try to buy one. Sorry for the confusion.

Some stainless 455's came with a nice CZ Canada sling and rifle case. I bought one in 22 Mag, kept for the barrel, sling and bag, and parted out all the rest. The barrel now resides on a 457.20220618_125156.jpg

Just thought I'd post it here. I have a CZ452 Scout. I'd like to trade it for a CZ455 Stainless. If interested, please let me know through this thread because I cannot access my inbox. Thanks
I can think about it. I’m not sure I’d wanna do a straight even up trade tho…

There’s actually a cz 457 model that comes with that same stock and skinny stainless barrel on it from factory. Might have saved money buying that model and getting more money out of the stainless cz 455 rifle

Back then I was selling 457 actions (no mags) for $375 and got the same for the stainless 455 action. Sold the stock for $150. So the stainless barrel, sling, case and 10 round mag cost me $175.

Ok that makes more sense now

The stainless 455 action would almost be kinda nice for a stainless Lilja or other aftermarket barrel

I personally didn't like the 455's 90 bolt throw and how high you needed to mount a scope. I agree though, stainless is pretty sweet.

i have a 455 ss night sky edition - black soft touch stock with green speckles not sure how rare it is but sure nice rifle. i haven't found ammo it absolutely loves but does good with eley benchrest outlaw. It was almost one hole at 30yrds with cci sup hp and one other load dont remember at the moment, but haven't got much good luck at 50yrds. It is a bit back from my 452 style though it will do 3/4 inch at 100 handily with hv ammo, they are blued with ss coating though i believe.
i have a 455 cad that dont shoot real good but haven't spent much time with it really, i won a 457 cad but sold it and never shot it, rather try the camo/ss one.
if ya find one wouldn't be scared about trying it.

My 455 SS Lux in Post #5 does 0.3xx-6xx with 'good' SK+ or SK-RM but i never shot it at 25-30 after zeroing at 50. At 100 still around 1.5-2" - nothing 'special', just OK. even with the 6-24x50 it's a light, comfortable rifle. My 457-VMTR is better but with scope at 11+ # not really a field gun.
I once had a Rem 700 SPS with Hogue 'soft' stock, I hated the squishy-sticky feel. It turned into a Rem 722 .308 in walnut within a year - Magic ;)
