Place this in another topic earlier but realized it should have been on its own with all the info....
Just wanted see if I could build a commercial grade home built Stainless Steel(S.S.) media Separator.
As some have complained here as I have, the S.S. is a great media for the shiny brass finish BUT it is a PITA to deal with.
The commercial versions run around $50 plus tax ie: Hornaday Separator.
This one below was built for $22 with tax in - all the main parts were from a Dollarama store.
Is it worth building if you have 90mins apprx? I ll let you decide.
First off - The media cleaner:
The basket for the brass and the S.S.
The storage bin with the basket mounted
Added the discarded toilet plunger handles inside the basket to increase agitation.
The unit was tested with brass & S.S. tumbled inside and the end result was successful ! please note the S.S. on the bottom of the storage bin.
Please note the lack of S.S pins on the towel.
The brass is now ready for depriming and priming.
Thanxs for viewing !
