Stainless Steel Media??

I like it. When you see the dirty water when dumping a batch after stainless tumbling you have some idea of the crap that might be in the air if you are vibratory tumbling. I like the idea of keeping lead and primer dust out of the air in my house so I can have more exposure at the range. :D As a bonus it cleans the primer pockets.
I started with stainless so can't offer actual usage comparisons to other tumbler types.
 
Think I'll hijack this.

I use the 1mm porcelain beads. They perform like the SS rods but without the peaning though there IS an issue with them wedging up in the primer pockets, (not the holes). Does the SS media present any such issues ? Any jamming in bottle neck cartridges like with the ceramic cylinder media ?
 
only problem I see with either type (ss or ceramic) is that they are to be done in a wet style tumbler. And if I had to replace my dry tumbler, I'd rather get an ultrasonic
 
... yeah... if i got something like that i would have to make sure that the cases were always dry before loading them...

It's not as good as SS media.

In the summer I put them in the sun,in the winter over the heat regester's that heat the house.
If you need them fast put them into 99% alcohol from the Walmart pharmacy,swish them around then remove them.Let sit for 5 min and your done.
 
I wasn't really asking a question, just stating my preference ;)

anyway, I'm not much of a hardcore benchrester so dry tumbling suffises for me
