Out of curiosity, how do you ensure uniform seating depth with that?

It's a test you do to check if the burr is causing a problem in your chamber, you still need to size the brass before you reload it.

Thinking about it again, the peeing is likely due to the cases hitting each other in the rotary tumbler, not because of the media itself. A vibratory tumbler is gentler on brass.

I would agree since it still happens to the brass that I tumble in the rotary tumbler without any SS media.

They are custom match long range rifles and I did as you said and the bullet slides in like butter that being said I use alot of water and I don't clean very much precision brass at a time so that may be the differences.
