Stainless Steel Sigs more durable than Alum Alloy?

The stainless P226 was one of the first guns available for loan when TSE first opened from what I was told. I can see 2.0M rounds having gone through that gun. It was very popular when I was working there. And yes, it did go through several barrels, a few springs, extractors, ejectors.

EDIT: Just read CIE's post, that throws my math right out the window then... So never mind. Either way, we abused the hell out of that gun and it still kept running. Worth it? Yeah.

I'm afraid CIE is probably closer to the truth. We don't have ANY guns at TSE that would be anywhere near 1,000,000 rounds.

We have had SIGs (alum frame to boot) that did have over 100k rounds though.

The most common parts to change in the SIGS are the recoil spring and the trigger return spring.

We also seemed to lose grip screws far too often.

Still, the SIGs have outlasted EVERY other manufacturer!

If you guys are all talking about the pistol I think you are talking about, that was RichLPS's that he brought in on trade.
IIRC he said he had around 80k through it at time of trade in.
Dunno for sure, maybe ask him. He is pretty anal (or is that alloy?:pirate:) about how many rounds he puts through his stuff.
