Stainless Zastava .375?

Years ago when Remington was selling the Zastava rifles under their name, Wholesale Sports had stainless with a laminate stock .375's listed on the website. When I called to order they were out of stock and that's the last I've ever seen something like that advertised.

I have never found another ad or reference to stainless .375's so I don't know if that was an error on WSP website or what.

I know it doesn't help you at all but just for discussion's sake.

Self guided Elephant in Cameroon, full jungle, was advised not to pack any gun I liked at it's as likely to rust to heck as be stolen. I'm working out a trade for the hunt and it is by no means a done deal, but looks like we're close. The only ammunition available locally is .375 H&H, and also advised that is the only chambering to pack. This is because ammunition isn't available for sale anywhere near where I'd be headed, but a fellow hunter there who goes annually has a stash of .375 in country. It's some seriously second rate travel to get there and a lot of hiccups can occur. Coating is looking like the only sensible avenue if I can't find an M70 .375 SS again- sold mine just last year! "Cheap" "Stainless" and "375 H&H"; pick two is looking like the deal as in so many pick two of three's. :)

Had this gun. Actually since Zastava guns are so often rebranded...i had a 375 H&H in a Interarms mark X....almost certainly a Zastava M98. Solid strong gun...scoped in the 10lb range. More of a rolling BOOOM than a sharp crack of other magnums. Very accurate and solid Gun...sold it to my Cousin when i bought my 375 Ultra.

Mine was wood stocked, handled the BC climate fine...cant speak on West Africa. How would there be a problem, any damage would be trivial compared to hurting a $15K double rifle or real Holland and Holland. Bet they would hold up fine. Not a Bic lighter gun like a Axis...cant be and handle a H&H.

Take the blued rifle, bring it back red, boil it in distilled water and card off the rust. Voila...rust bluing. Price goes up on the EE afterwards.

It's friggin brilliant! You owe me half the EE profits.

I like BUM's idea, that's brilliant!! What about the blue model and try the black Tremclad trick......just spray her up before you go and see what happens.....no buddy will steal a red rifle anyway!
