Can you guys help me out with the best way to do this? The sight popped in easy enough, but I'm not sure how to stake it without apply pressure in a way that pops it out again.

Does that involve changing the front sight? This one is a night sight and I'm looking to keep that.

Or does the screw and tool work for any standard glock front sight?

Position the sight on a hard surface, use a business card to protect the finish.
Raise the rear of the slide so that the flat on top of the sight is parallel to the hard surface.
Use a flat faced punch and peen the sight with a downward tap. One, maybe two taps is all it should take.

I am a big fan of green Loctite...add a small amount on top of the slide and it will wick underneath the sight.

Try to fix the sight before shooting again. Once loose, the sight gets progressively worse after each shot.

If the sight installs up from inside the slide into a press fit recess which your picture indicates then perhaps use some red coloured loctite. If you later want to remove it heating the area up to just a bit more than the temperature of boiling water will melt the loctite and allow you to easily remove it. The proper temperature is around 150'ish centigrade. Pretty much a water drops sizzling in a fry pan sort of temperature.
