Short light carbines are fantastic and they are super accurate the 260gr Accubonds in the 21" barreled 375JDJ give under 2" 3 shot groups at 300 yards my 21" factory tapered barrel in 223 gives me 1 1/2" 3 short groups @ 300 yards with 40gr VMax with H322 powder.
Being able to swap out barrels gives you options for different hunting seasons as well.
The day before I shot the big mule deer buck with the 308Bellm I had a 223 barrel on that frame I had spotted the buck near dark appr 700 yards across a logging cut went back to my hotel room swapped to the 308Bellm barrel wrapped it in the snow camo, in the morning I put on my snow camo coveralls headed back to the cut knowing the only realistic way to get to the buck was right out in the open thru the cut shot was appr 210 yards.
