standard class

Please report back when you get to 30K or as I like to call it; one shooting season.

Try telling that to the guys at Phoenix Indoor Range in Edmonton; they have a rental STI Edge with over 3/4 of a million rounds documented through it.

STI are Great Love the Tanfos too. I would buy a DVC If I could afford one.

CZ = Half the price and best trigger. Go out and shoot them all and decide for yourself. Guns are like wine. Just because one cost more does NOT mean it is better than the other.

either the Edge or the Tanfoglio Custom Limited are great choices, I personally run a Tanfoglio but thats because i like the feel much better then the STI. :)

Ergonomics are very different between the Tanfo/CZ and the STI. For me the Tanfo is much more ergonomic in the hand.

I like my sti, but the grip, upper rear area pokes my hand a bit and I've filed/rounded it down a bit, but still little bother some. I prefer cz/tango grip or the sv contoured grip option they have.. I don't have large hands, but not too small either, and prefer better comfortable grip.
1911 grip is great too.. just don't like the 2011 grip.
I can reach the mag release with 2011 grip (well, I have ext. button), but even if I didn't, I can reach it, so the size of the 2011 grip isnt so much an issue, as the design.
the gun is great.. and great choice for standard div.
For me, being able to reach and utilize the mag release without changing my grip for mag changes, is key. and grip is important for sight alignment.
if have a chance, try few guns out before buying. Guys at clubs like to show off their toys and let you try their gun.

Keith, I'll agree with you that different guns feel better in different peoples hands; but I can assure you that with guns, you get exactly what you pay for.

Go cheap; and it's cheap, spend the money and you get quality and the backing.

CZ has a 3 year transferable warranty. Shoot 60,000 rounds a year for 3 years. warranty will fix anything that breaks. after that it is your backup gun and buy a new one. CZ are half the price with twice the trigger and a 3 year warranty. Tanfo has 2 year non transferable warranty. Grab a Stock II and a Limited custom II and try out the triggers and compare with a shadow and Tac Sport. If you like the Tanfo better then by the Tanfo. They all break. We beat the hell out of them in IPSC the average service pistol is only designed to last 20,000 rounds and we push millions through them. Freedom does a great job bringing these awesome guns in to Canada for us. It is up to the shooter to consider cost, ergonomics, trigger, reliability, availability of parts etc. I know all the platforms and pros and cons and I prefer CZ. That is not to say other brands are not good. CZ Tanfo, STI are the best in the business for competition. I would shoot any one of them.
