Interested to here people's opinions on this, but what do you think would be the best out of the box standard division pistol. A 2011, CZ TSO, Tanfoglio, other? Just a curiosity question really.

I do reload and have tonnes of .40S&W brass since I go scrounge after the police have been to our range, lol.

since this was just a question of seeing what the general opinion/preference was, no I don't have a budget. I'll be getting my feet wet in standard division this winter with a CZ Tactical Sport and if shooting that division is my thing then who knows, we all like Shiney new toys :D

I have a Tanfoglio that I used in Standard. With the 9MM top end I used to switch between the 9MM and 40 top end for Production Division and Standard. The Tans offer that option. The gun now is a bit of a safe Queen. There are a lot of high end options or you can just run about any .40cal pistol if you just see your shooting as a recreational diversion.

From my limited time in IPSC, looks like STI and Tanfo are the most prevalent. I’m currently running a shadow in production, and I’ve been keeping an eye out for a TSO as well. Got a bit of a thing for CZ’s

Yeah it is recreational at this point but I would like to get competitive with it eventually, I'm starting to take my routine more seriously with training, drills, etc...

High end 2011 is the gun of choice, svi or high end American builders such as atlas as mentioned. Cz Ts orange is possibly the best value in standard
