Even at a discount I Donno about a 1911 with a over hanging rear sight and machine checkering marks left on the upper strap and a not very well fit beaver tail for the still big money being asked...

Good eye, didn't even see that leftover machine checkering marks. That's just bad quality check, even amateurs would have smoothed that out.

It is a gun made to be sold, not to be fired. Like Saddam Hussein's gold AKs, these are for giving to coconspirators and partners in crime for their loyalty, or to be purchased as an investment. Even if the eagle-eyed souls here picked up on the manufacturing flaws, I would happily put this away in the locker for 10-15 yrs to resell for my retirement home stay, because the next generation of buyers won't be nearly as particular or well-educated in the nuances of custom gunsmithing. Buyer beware does not mean seller disclose.

Looks like pitting on frame under the scratches too, sad she is still a beautiful pistol. Good shooter if price was right!
