By popular request, for offhand precision shooters! The Challenge is to shoot seven consecutive shots into a 6" diameter circle from a standing offhand position at 100M. Although the 6" diameter is the maximum diameter, those who wish to increase the level of difficulty, are invited to draw smaller target circles.

The target circle must be on a clean single panel with an outside border area at least 4" outside the circle.

Seven shots only. No holes taped over:)

Standing offhand shooting postion without sling support. Wheelchair shooters may be seated.

No restrictions on firearm, sight system, caliber.

Post pictures of your successful targets and the rifle. I will post the names of successful shooters in the OP.

SUCCESSFUL SHOOTERS TO DATE ARE
scairns - 7mm-08 Rem 700 CDL
LongBomber
Dogleg
EHG

Example of target below --- or draw your own. This is a Challenge only. Honor system so no witness' necessary.

No restrictions on firearm, sight system, or caliber. Just shoot all seven shots with the same firearm. Edit added to OP.

Not trying to be a jerk and know that I am going to get called out but this should be about average shooting for any smallbore silhouette shooter above A class.

No doubt silhouette competition shooters will find this easy, just like competition SBR shooters can do the "1/2 challenges" with ease. The "Challenges" are just for fun and are doable enough for most to try with the precision rifles talked about in this forum. Now, if any are so inclined, just change the circle dot to 2" and post:)

A question. The rules state standing. What about wheelchair bound shooters? Can we still weigh in here?

I used to compete in .22 silhouette in my wheelchair. Balance is a factor for paraplegics and adds an extra handicap. (no pun intended)

Of course, wheelchairs are fine...as are any other aides for those requiring same. The idea is for participation. Just get out shooting.

NOTE: I have edited the OP to provide for smaller targets for those so inclined. The idea is to get out and challenge yourself, it is not a competition between shooters. In the spirit of inclusion, smaller target circles are fine.

Well, to be honest my precision rifles would not be getting used, no way I could hold steady enough. My "1/2" MOA" rifle would be 12 real quick!!!

Now my BLR in a precision challenge, that sounds interesting. :)

Why is this in the precision rifle forum if it's geared towards hunting and sporting rifles?

Never been to a PR match that had standing shots that didn't allow (or encourage) the use of a sling.

Open to any rifle regardless of weight or stock configuration. This is not a PR match or competition, just some fun that requires a degree of precision shooting. If it is in the wrong section, move it. But, for the record, I have some sporter rigs that hold close to 1/2MOA "all day" from the bench.

Uh Huh.

Guys been trying in the precision challenge, some very high quality rifles, not sure what the percentage is making less than 1/2 MOA , but it sure separates BS from Bull true.

Wow, deadbeats really rule this thread. Stick to the intent jec we dont have a single target and you are changing the rules to accomadate those who wont participate anyway.
