Starline .44 Russian Brass Update

For any of my fellow gunnutz in the same boat as me, here's what Starline told me. The .44 Rus. brass is low on their backorder list but they have no plans to discontinue it, it's just not a priority on their manufacturing list. So, in short, it will be coming at some point but don't hold your breath. If anyone has extra, I would appreciate a PM. I have to say that I was quite impressed with the speed in which they responded to my query.
 
Not that I have anything that uses 44 Russian, but is trimming 44 Special to length a reasonable option?
 
Last week I've got a Starline 44 Special from Bullseye. I have no issues trimming it to 44 Rus. The other option would be buying factory 44 Rus Fiochci ammo and go from there.

The Fiocchi brass is problematic. I've shot the stuff and it works great but for whatever reason, the case trimmer pilot jams in the mouth of the cases when you try to trim to length. I don't have that problem with Starline. Go figure. As it stands, one of our fellow gunntuz has some Starline .44 Russian brass for sale, so I've contacted him to work out a deal.
