Did you start the project? I did somthing similar and i ended up selling it.. The archangel stock as good as it is, Is easy damaged in the cold. Also the mosin barrel is to long for it. Another thing is that the mounts and scope no matter what you do aside from drill and tapping will NOT hold a zero or be stable. I can imagine you will spend allot of money finding a red dot for a mosin's caliber.

I have to disagree. You can use the dovetails for a solid mount, although it does get complicated. Its got to done properly, being pinned from sides and top.
